The Concept
Hauntsville combines multiple features known from different games with a unique twist.
The survival component is a significant part of the game. It involves gathering resources like food, water, and supplies for crafting items and building parts for a camp. Camps can range from simple shelters to multiple buildings surrounded by fences, depending on the work put in.
Resources like coal, iron ore, and wood have to be harvested with tools and are used for crafting more useful items.
With every crafted item or certain achievements, the player gains experience points that are used to reach a new level. By achieving a new level, it is possible to upgrade stats like health or stamina.
A large map with different biomes, a day-night cycle, and changing weather conditions ensure a diverse and exciting experience.
Diversity is also represented by the NPCs in Hauntsville. There is plenty of wildlife and various kinds of beasts. Some enemies will attack you and your camp, while others are less harmful.
Hauntsville can be played in multiplayer mode to make the experience even more fun!
